APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has asked Davido to retract his statement about the Nigerian economy being in Shambles
Davido was a guest on a Radio programme in America last week where he asked Africans not to leave America following Trump’s victory at the polls. According to him, the Nigerian economy at the moment is in shambles and so staying in America would be a better option.
Just like some other Nigerians, Igbokwe has picked fault in Davido’s comment. He says it is sad the singer made such a comment about the Nigerian economy and should retract his statement as soon as possible.
A University of Benin, UNIBENgraduate has vowed to make an impact online after being awarded ₦5,000 as the Best Graduating Studentin Mechanical Engineering, with a CGPA of 4.80/5.0.
He shared this achievement in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he also posted a picture of himself with his certificate.
In his post, he wrote: “Yesterday, I received the sum of ₦5,000 as the award for Best Graduating Student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Benin for the 2021/2022 Academic Session, having graduated with a CGPA of 4.80/5.0.”
“This award holds great significance for me, considering my journey from a very disadvantaged background to achieving such an outstanding feat. I am also honored to have served as a student leader in several positions, notably as President of my department and faculty (NUESA).”
He continued, “Additionally, having the opportunity to teach others while in school and play football for my class and department were accomplishments I truly cherish. Looking forward to better days ahead 🙏.”
